It comes as a part of HPLIP, HP Linux Imaging and Printing. HPLIP is a complete driver suite which also includes scanning, copying, and fax drivers for multi-function devices and also the printer maintenance and management utility hp-toolbox.<P> The HPIJS driver is only one of the two flavors of HP's printer driver. HP has recently added the CUPS Raster driver hpcups and uses this driver by default currently. HPIJS is still included in HPLIP, but more for backward compatibility.<P> HP provides PPD files for all their supported printers and both driver flavors, but unfortunately, they dropped support for their printers which they marketed under the Apollo and Sony brand names. This entry produces appropriate PPDs to get HPIJS support back for these printers, so that they work with full printing functionality. Especially the quality of colour printing is much higher than the quality of other drivers which support the Apollo- and Sony-branded printers.<P> </en> </comments> <printers> <printer> <id>printer/Apollo-P-2100</id> </printer> <printer> <id>printer/Apollo-P-2150</id> </printer> <printer> <id>printer/Apollo-P-2200</id> </printer> <printer> <id>printer/Apollo-P-2250</id> </printer> <printer> <id>printer/Apollo-P-2500</id> </printer> <printer> <id>printer/Apollo-P-2550</id> </printer> <printer> <id>printer/Apollo-P-2600</id> </printer> <printer> <id>printer/Apollo-P-2650</id> </printer> <printer> <id>printer/Sony-IJP-V100</id> </printer> </printers> </driver>
